RULES

  • Each academy may have a maximum of two competitors in each category.
  • All disqualified competitor will lose his or her registration fee.
  • The North American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Organization is not responsible for accident, injury, or death as a result of the tournament.
  • Bent knee locks, bicep locks, heel hooks, cervical locks, scissor takedown(s) and slamming will not be permitted. The competitor will be disqualified if any of those techniques are used.
  • Guillotine, neck cranks or any type of foot locks will not be permitted for Kids (4-15) or any White belt competitor.
  • Leg locks or toe-hold(s) will not be permitted for Blue and Purple belts, only straight foot locks.
  • All competitors must wear a clean gi.
  • T-shirts underneath the gi and wrestling shoes will not be permitted
  • Competitor(s) that do not weigh in will be automatically disqualified.
  • No advantage
  • If the match is tied at the end of regulation, there will be sudden death overtime. The first competitor to score points will be the winner.
  • Any competitor who does not show up for a match will automatically forfeit the match and registration fee
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to your match
  • Single elimination tournament

The top three competitors in each division will receive medals and will make points for their academy.  The five academies with the most points will get a trophy.  In addition, we will give medals to all kids and trophies to the top three academies that score the most points on kids division. Adult Male Black Belt total prize  $2,000.00 (see weight divisions for details).
